Spring Fling Home Tour
It is SPRING!!! I’m so happy that it is spring because the weather will be getting warmer and I can not wait to be outside enjoying the sunshine. Today, I’m sharing my Spring Fling Home Tour! That’s right, I’ve updated everything again for spring with fresh blooms and greenery. And this time, my cat and dog did not eat all of it. *WINK*
Since I just did a St. Patrick’s Day tour, I’m going to let the photos do most of the talking, with a few blurbs here and there as needed.
I would describe our style as neutral, modern, farmhouse. That may or may not be a real style, but I’m going with it.
In our living room, I moved a mirror and boxwood wreath above the sofa and kept the decor simple with a few of my favorite flowers, hydrangeas.
Our kitchen was recently updated with new countertops and a beadboard backsplash. (You can find all of the details and see the before photos here.)
I love to add pops of green to a room, since I feel that it adds a little life to the space. Because no one likes a dead room, right?
Our open shelving didn’t get springified much, since space is limited there. I did add one small faux plant though!
The breakfast nook also looks quite a bit different than in previous home tours.
I found the new (to us) dining chairs at a garage sale for just $1 each and will be sharing how I added the numbers to the backs next week. Stay tuned!
I hope you’ve enjoyed checking out my neutral, modern, farmhouse spring home tour. To see more of our abode not shared in this tour, check out the St. Patrick’s Day Home Tour. Printable Easter Bunny Banner
Today I’m sharing a super fun, vintage, printable Easter bunny banner/bunting. These neutral little bunnies will look so great almost anywhere around your home and are perfect for welcoming Spring/Easter. Check out how I used them to decorate below, then download your own banner for FREE!
I snagged the hare image from the Graphics Fairy.
You can print these out on regular printer paper or cardstock (plain white or colored!) Once printed, cut each out along the lines with a paper cutter or scissors, whichever you have on hand.
To make the bunting, I also cut out colorful cardstock a little bit larger than each of the banners and glued them on with a tiny dab of glue in each corner. Using a craft knife, I made two small straight openings on each piece of cardstock.
Then I strung them up with some baker’s twine. Festive, right?
There are so many things you can do with these banners!
Attach one to a wooden dowel and hang it on the wall (or from your front door) to welcome guests.
These would also look great framed or hanging from the back of a chair to fancy up a table setting. So many possibilities! Below I added one to our Mouse Trap Photo Holder for display in the kitchen.

Thank you for stopping by to check out these vintage bunny printables! I hope you enjoy using them and would love to see any creative or crafty things you may use them for. If you are looking for more Spring inspiration, check out these two fun projects!

St. Patrick’s Day Home Tour
I was so excited when Meg, from Green With Decor, invited me to join in on the Green St. Patrick’s Day Home Tour! If you haven’t visited Meg’s blog, head over there right now and check out her fun St. Patty’s Day Decor, then you can continue through the rest of the home and decor tours at the bottom of this post.
Typically, my holiday decor style is very simple and St. Patrick’s Day is no exception. I have added a lot of green in the form of plants and few other Irish touches to our living room/entryway to celebrate the holiday and help welcome in Spring. Let’s start in the foyer and work our way around the room!
We normally have a book page wreath hanging on the gray door going to the garage, but I moved a few items here and there to change things up and now have a springy boxwood wreath in it’s place.
This small wood dresser sits just inside of our front door and houses all of our winter accessories (hats, gloves, scarves, etc.) and kids’ art supplies.
I think it is such a pretty piece of furniture, but have honestly been thinking about *gasp* painting it.
Since I have a tendency to kill live plants (my thumb may be a bit herbicidal), I tend to keep several of the faux variety around. The topiary is a simple DIY that I made awhile ago.
Continuing around the room, you’ll find my heirloom piano (it was my Mom’s).
Above it are some simple silhouettes of my kids, which are so easy to make. I added some real ivy in a milk glass vase/bowl and I love how it spills over the edges with its waterfall of leaves.
Next to the piano is our comfy and cozy Ikea Ektorp sofa. Recently, we switched our all white cover to this beige-y one and we are still trying to decide if we like it. It tends to show less dirt than the white one, but I did appreciate that I could see any stains and opt to wash the covers as soon as I did.
And no St. Patrick’s Day Home Tour would be complete without a Shamrock plant (also real). Let’s hope I can keep this one alive!
I’m kind of in love with this chalkboard right now. I do my own chalkboard lettering and created this nifty design of an Irish proverb/blessing which seemed appropriate for a home tour.
“May your home always be too small to hold all your friends.”
I also whipped up this little, green pom pom garland. Our cat, Rowan, seems to think I made it just for him and has pretty much annihilated it already.
And that brings us back around to the foyer. I hung up this old horseshoe for good luck. Did you know that how you hang your horseshoe is a controversial topic? Really. It’s a thing. I didn’t find out which way was correct (up or down), but people seem to have a lot of opinions about it.
Thank you so much for stopping by today to visit our home! This was such a fun tour to put together and I hope you will check out the other amazing homes and decor below!

The Home Depot Challenge – Chain
Sometimes good things must come to an end and that includes The Home Depot Challenge that I’ve been participating in for the past year. The ladies in this group have been so awesome to work with and I will definitely miss doing this with them. The last item chosen was a chain and I actually had finished the chain project in December, but the challenge was postponed, so I’m re-sharing my Holiday Card Display. I know it is a little out of place, since it is clearly for the Christmas season, but I’m sure this project could be modified to suit other holidays or as even a fun way to display photos or school work!
Click on over to the Holiday Card Display post to find out all how it is made. There have been a lot of other amazing projects shared including a Wine Bottle Bird Feeder, Rope Curtain Ties, 2×4 Artwork, Pegboard Luminary, Wood Box Caddy, Industrial Book Rack, and a Furniture Leg Snowman.
If you haven’t already, head on over to view the other amazing chain projects shared this month by clicking on the images below. We had a few guests join us and their projects totally rocked, along with all of the other creative ideas!
