We’re Back! + Giveaway
We’re back from our wonderful Florida vacation and ready to return to our daily lives. But before we are officially out of vacation mode, we wanted to share a few highlights from our trip with you. Oh yeah, and one more thing. We are joining a wonderful group of bloggers for a $225 PayPal giveaway. (You can enter for a chance to win at the bottom of this post.)
After a few days of each of our families road tripping it to Orlando, we finally reunited, along with our brother too, at our beautiful 5 bedroom vacation rental home. For us, staying off Disney property was the way to go. (I am not saying there is anything wrong with staying in the resorts. This is just what worked best for us.) We really took advantage of having our own kitchen, bedrooms, and private pool.
The house was located about 15 minutes from Disney World. Because we had chosen to drive down, having our own cars gave us the freedom to come and go has we pleased. Erin and I even got a one on one sister shopping trip to Target in. It may not sound like much, but to us it was pretty awesome.
While in Florida, we definitely spent sometime in the Disney parks. The kids seemed to all have a really great time!
Although meeting Elsa may not have been my kids favorite thing, (See picture on Emily’s Instagram) they were over the moon to hang out with Lightning McQueen.
After a few days of riding rides and hugging characters, our families’ time together came to an end. We split off. While my family stayed and had one last park day, Erin’s family enjoyed some much needed beach relaxation time in St. Augustine. (See more photos on Erin’s Instagram.)
We did manage to squeeze in one last meal together in Savannah, Ga at the Pirate’s House, before we said our official goodbyes and headed to our separate homes. Unfortunately, this seemed to be just the right amount of time for my kids to pass on their sicknesses to Erin’s. (Sorry about that sis!)
